Important Announcements

  • Clean City Initiative - The Cleanest City in Indiana, a local group working to stop litter in Lebanon, is planning a new program to help eliminate trash in the city. The committee would like input on determining which areas in Lebanon have the most litter. The feedback will help the group prioritize clean up efforts. Visit http://svy.mk/1igdnHi by February 15, 2014 to complete the short survey and tell what areas of town need the most attention.
  • Boone County Community Clinic Open for Extended Hours - The clinic is now open for extended hours from 5pm until 8pm Monday thru Thursday, and from 8am until noon on Saturdays. These after-hours times are reserved for first-come, first-serve walk-in appointments, and are open to all Boone County residents, insured and uninsured alike. The Clinic is able to bill with several local insurances, and if you are uninsured, appointments start at only $50. No appointments necessary, but certain restrictions apply, as some services must take place at scheduled appointments during regular service hours. The clinic is located at 404 W. Camp St. in Lebanon (across the street from Walgreens).   • Watch Lebanon city meetings LIVE - The Lebanon Reporter announces that Lebanon city meetings may now be viewed online at The Reporter Network.   • Early Readers Club - United Way of Boone County has launched the Early Readers Club to promote childhood literacy. By registering today, your preschool child or grandchild can receive 12 high-quality books a year for just $20. Scholarships are available. The Boone County Youth as Resources grant deadline is Friday, January 16, 2015. Up to $1,000 per grant is available in Boone County for youth who identify community needs and design projects that use their skills, creativity and energy to help others. Youth groups and adult leaders who are interested in developing a community service project and applying for a grant must attend one of the workshops (additional workshops on Tuesday, November 11 and Thursday, November 20). Groups may RSVP for a workshop at http://www.uwci.org/programs/youth-as-resources or by contacting Amy Hammerle at 765-483-0165.

* Thursday, November 6, 2014 - The Boone County Bluebird Society will meet at 7 PM at the Boone REMC Community Room (1207 Indianapolis Ave., Lebanon). Guest speaker will be naturalist Stephanie Morrissette with a program about Sandhill Cranes, which migrate over Boone County in the fall. Bluebird boxes and information will be available. The public is welcome.
