19TH ANNUAL FIRECRACKER CLASSIC
Firecracker Classic Date Set – June 25, 2011

The 19th Annual Firecracker Classic 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held on June 25 2011 at the Lebanon Memorial Park. 130 East Ulen Drive, Lebanon, Indiana. The annual tournament consists of teams comprised of individuals from across Indiana with a passion for basketball tournament play. Pre-registration is required for the double elimination tournament. Teams are divided by age, gender and playing experience. Teams consist of 4 players. Age groups range from 7 years of age to 50+. The entry fee per team is $100.00 if registered by June 1st. After June 1st the registration fee is $120 per team. Entry deadline is June 17, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. All entries for participants under the age of 18 must include the parent or guardian's signature. Due to insurance requirements, no late entries will be accepted. All registered participants will receive a tournament shirt. Trophies are provided to the winning team in each age category. Individual competitive events will include a three-point and free throw shoot-out contests.

The Firecracker Classic is an annual fundraising event. A portion of the proceeds generated by the event are used to fund scholarships for the YMCA Financial Assistance programs and operation as well as for student scholarships for continuing education and for teachers with special classroom projects which would not normally be funded by the school corporation budget. Lora Pennington, Executive Director of the YMCA encourages the community to support this family friendly fundraising event. "With continued support from the community the Firecracker Classic can continue and be a great family event for Boone County that kicks off our 4th of July events.
