The War Years Roundtable is on a summer hiatus from June to Agust and will continue on the second Monday of every month beginning in September.
An informational/organizational meeting was held in the Ralph Stark Heritage Center at the Lebanon Public Library in January 2010 to measure interest in forming a discussion group dedicated to the remembrance and study of the American Civil War.
The group decided to meet monthly on the 3rd Monday of that month. Additional or special meetings will be announced.
The mission of the Lebanon Civil War Roundtable is to involve the community in the commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War (1861-1865) and to recognize the effect the nation's most devastating conflict in history had on our state and its citizens.
The Lebanon Civil War Roundtable will accomplish this mission by hosting and participating in events which are relevant to Indiana's Civil War Sesquicentennial Commemoration.
Beginning in 2012, the Civil War Roundtable is now known as the War Years Roundtable. We are still observing the commemoration of the U.S. Civil War 150th, but is now open to other military - related programs. The U.S. Civil War will not be excluded.
