Lebanon, IN, 21 July 2003 - Arc Rehab Services held its annual awards luncheon at the Ramada Inn Conference Center in Lebanon today. Awards were given to several companies, organizations and individuals that have helped Arc Rehab provide assistance and opportunities for people with special needs. Employees recognized were Karol King for ten years of service and Janette Proctor and Tracy Autrey for special staff recognition.
Mike Frasure, a physical Therapist from Witham Health Services received Volunteer of the Year. County Commissioner Byron Loveless and Betty Lee Cooper accepted the Community Recognition Award for County Government.
Pearson Education, a company of almost 700 employees in the Lebanon Business Park received the business of the year award. Brent Cardin in his presentation to Pearson Education stated that the most lasting impression at Pearson is that workers seem to enjoy their jobs and in the process have recruited a workforce that not only is a combination of gender and ethnicity, but also include people with disabilities which in my opinion is truly diverse. Several employees with disabilities have been hired by Pearson and almost all continue to work there today.
