The Christian Community Jail Ministry Outreach is hosting an Appreciation Dinner and Blessing Service for all Boone County law enforcement officials on Thursday, May 11th at Centenary United Methodist Church, 910 Fordice Rd., Lebanon. Officers of the law and the courts and their spouses will be the guests of a dinner at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and participate in the Blessing Service to be held in the Sanctuary at 7:00 p.m. Members of the community are encouraged to "adopt" an officer of the law as they arrive for the service and to then take part in pinning a guardian angel on that individual during the Blessing Service.

All churches in the county are invited to participate in this endeavor to recognize and show appreciation for our county's officers of the law. This event will be an early kick-off to Police Officer's Week, which begins with Police Officer's Day on Monday, May 15th and continues throughout the week. The May 11th dinner and service will honor our state, county, and city police as well as judges, prosecutors, and probation officers. Families, friends, and residents of Boone County are urged to attend as those who defend, protect, and guide our citizenry are lifted in prayer and appreciation.
