- The Boys Next Door presented by Center Stage Community Theatre in Lebanon. Show times are at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 2:30 pm on Sunday. The Boys Next Door is a funny yet very touching play about the lives of four retarded men who live in a communal residence under the watchful eye of a sincere, but increasingly burned-out, social worker. Filled with humor, the play is also marked by compassion and understanding as it looks at the world of these characters struggling to thrive in a world they can't fully comprehend. Center Stage Community Theatre is located at 604 Powell Street in Lebanon Indiana. The theatre is air-conditioned, handicapped accessible and offers an intimate surrounding, providing a theatre experience sure to enrich the audience experience. - Art Restoration sponsored by the Boone County Historical Society at the Cragun house (404 W. Main St., Lebanon, IN) at 7 pm. Guy Davis from the Indianapolis firm of Snodgrass & Davis will discuss the care and restoration of paintings and artworks on paper. The mending of tears to documents including removal of stains and foxing to engravings will also be discussed. Guy Davis explained, "Emergency care of fire and water damaged objects can often save artwork and photographs that otherwise would be considered a total loss." "We receive many fire and flood damaged works from insurance companies for restoration. An example, the quick separation and stabilization of wet photographs is critical to preserving them. If you have ever had the experience of trying to separate wet photos then you know of that disaster," he said. The public is invited to attend this free program. For more information contact the Boone County Historical Society at 765-483-9414 or Snodgrass & Davis at 317-722-0343.
