- First Presbyterian Church presents a free family movie outdoors on the grassy lot at the corner of Main & Meridian Street in Lebanon. Event Schedule-- 5:30 pm - Lawn opens. Bring your lawn chairs/blankets; 6-7 pm - 93.9 The Song Family Fun Bus-karaoke/prizes; 7-9 pm - Children s game area opens; 8-9 pm - Free popcorn and drinks served; 9pm - Movie: Road to Redemption. - Annual All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser sponsored by the Jackson Township Historical Society and the Jamestown Volunteer Fire Department at the fire stationfrom 7:30-10:30 am. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 4-12. Children 3 years and younger eat free. Pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, milk, juice, and coffee will be offered. Author Mildred Hennessy will be there to sign copies of her book "Herman B. Wells - Memories of a Colleague." Money raised will help the Historical Society continue to remodel the back room as a conference room and the Fire Department to buy equipment.

- Benefit Concert for Relay for Life of Lebanon at 3 pm in the church sanctuary of First Baptist Church (207 E. Washington Street, Lebanon). Amy O'Connell, Kristin O'Connell,Teresa O'Connell, Robert D. Lee, and Spencer Curnutt perform Broadway, Pop, Contemporary Christian, Religious Standards, and Classical vocal and piano selections. (This is the third annual Benefit Concert hosted by First Baptist Church. Past concerts benefitted Habitat for Humanity and The Caring Center.) Free admission--all donations go to Relay for Life.

- Talking With...presented by Center Stage Community Theatre at the theater's new home in Lebanon (604 West Powell Street, Lebanon, Indiana 46052). Directed by Laurie Atwater, the production features starring roles for eight notable local actresses: Rae Myers, Kelly Jo Turner, Kae Campbell, Rosa McDaniel-King, Sally Dunlap, Maew Corbin, Deb Woodings, and Sabrina Carmichael. The show is a comedy/drama comprised of connected monologues by extraordinary female characters ranging from a repressed housewife who fantasizes about the Wizard of Oz while cleaning her house to a former baton-twirling champion to a rodeo rider. The women portrayed tell their stories in ways that are poignant, funny, moving, and thought-provoking. Friday and Saturday performances start at 7:30 pm with Sunday matinees starting at 2:30 pm. - CPR for the Community - class will meet at the Boone County Family YMCA (1025 N. Jameson Street, Lebanon) from 9 - 11am. This program covers adult, child, and infant CPR, and choking emergencies. You will learn to provide basic life support until professional help arrives. The class is instructed by Health Emergency and Lifecare Programs under the direction of the American Safety and Health Institute. Fee: $35. Please register by Wednesday, August 16, 2006.
- Taste of Art at Sugar Creek Art Center from 9am-2pm. Sample watercolor with local artist Ellen Reinke, and Heirlooms from the Computer with Patty Gillogly. Heirlooms from the Computer will focus on family photos, refrigerator art, and original art as the basis for individualized stationery products, iron-on transfers, giftwrap, and gifts created from your art. Reinke will help participants to create original watercolor greeting cards. She will also demonstrate various watercolor techniques. Feast (for participants only!) on Saturday from 5:30-7 PM, and Sunday breakfast at 9:30 AM. Camping (per night): $5 per tent, $10 per tent with electric, $15 for RV's, campers ECT. All proceeds benefit the Spina Bifida Association of Central Indiana (SBACI). Pre-registration is $10 and the deadline is August 13. - First Fall Parent Support Meeting of PEACZ, the Parent Education and Advisory Council of Zionsville at 10am in the Hussey Mayfield Library conference room. PEACZ is a non-profit organization committed to helping Zionsville students with special needs get the education and resources they need to thrive. - Lebanon Swim Club 2006 Friends & Family Swim Day from 10 am - 2 pm at the Memorial Park Pool. Please register 9:15 to 10 am at the Memorial Park Pool.Events include: special guest speaker, refreshments and lunch provided, learn-to-swim clinic, stroke demonstration, family fun relay races. - "Registration Round-up" for all girls K-12 interested in joining the Girl Scouts in Lebanon and Western Boone. (This event is for girls not yet involved in Girl Scouting.) Wanted: Girls interested in building courage, confidence, and character, and helping to make the world a better place! Volunteers will provide information about Girl Scouting, how girls can join, and how adults can get involved as volunteers. Girls can even register that day! The event takes place from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church Parish Hall in Lebanon.
