  • Boone County Landmarks Preservation, Inc. - meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Lebanon Public Library. "Working to save our historic structures."
  • Community Bingo the 4th Tuesday of each month at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome. Refreshments and prizes for all. Games begin at 2:30 pm.
  • Community Euchre Club every Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome.
  • Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans.     • General Monthly Board Meeting - 7 pm on the third Tuesday of each month at Witham Memorial Hospital, Beck Community Room, 2605 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, IN 46052. Meeting is open to the public. An executive session (closed to the public) usually follows the conclusion of the public meeting. (New location effective with the October 18, 2005 meetings)
  • Jamestown Community Lions Club meets every second and fourth Thursday at 7:30 pm at the Jamestown Pizza King - Meeting Room
  • Lebanon Golden K (Kiwanis) - meets every Tuesday at 9:30 am at Boone REMC Community Building in Lebanon

  • Lebanon Lions Club meets every second and fourth Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Lebanon Elks Club.

  • Boone County Senior Services, Inc. Annual Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale at 403 N. Lebanon Street in Lebanon. The trees are grown at the Dull Tree Farm in Boone County. The agency will sell Scotch pine and Frazer fir. Wreaths will sell for $18.00, $22.00 & $28.00; Scotch pine trees under 6 feet, $25.00 and over 6 feet, $30.00. The Frazer fir trees will sell for $50.00. Hours of the sale are Monday through Friday from 8AM-7PM, Saturday from 9 AM-6PM, and Sunday from 12 noon-6PM. Purchasing a tree at Boone County Senior Services, Inc. will help support the mission of providing emotional, social, physical and educational well-being of older citizens in Boone County.   • 7th Annual St. Nicholas Bazaar at St. Joseph's Church (319 E. South St, Lebanon) from 9 am to 2 pm. From noon to 1 o'clock, St. Nicholas himself (portrayed by Jim Weaver) will visit and read a story to the children. Children and families may have their pictures taken with St.Nick. The bazaar will feature fine arts and jewelry created by local artists, handmade crafts and homemade food, make-it, take-it crafts, and a raffle that will benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Society which helps the needy in Boone County. Chicken and noodle dinners, complete with mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and desserts, will be served for lunch; carry out dinners will be available. All are welcome.
  • Christmas Tea at the Cragun House at 2pm sponsored by the Boone County Historical Society. Cost is $10 per person/$8 for BCHS members. Activities include: making a Victorian Christmas craft, listening to a Christmas story and Christmas music while tea and refreshments are served. Step back in time at the Cragun House located at, 404 West Main Street, in Lebanon and enjoy a Victorian Christmas Tea Party. Seating is limited. To make a reservation call 765-482-3038.

  • An Infant Remembrance Service will be held at 3 pm at the First Baptist Church (207 E. Washington Street, Lebanon). This is a nondenominational service for anyone who has ever lost a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death. Feel free to bring a memento of a lost child such as a picture/ultrasound photo, stuffed animal or blanket. The Preston Ministry wants those who've lost an infant to attend and celebrate the child's life, no matter how brief. For more information contact Jean Mason at (-765-482-6841.

  • Annual "Madrigal Evening" at St. Mark's Lutheran Church (107 S. Main St. in Whitestown). Snacks, cookies and beverages will be served at 6:30pm with Lebanon High School's premier choral group, "The Madrigals," performing at 7 pm.   • Lebanon Zonta Club Dinner Meeting at 6 pm at the Overlook Cafe in Lebanon. Zontians will be hosting the Z-Club members from Lebanon High School.   • Stokes-Harney PTO Auction at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary School (1005 Hendricks Drive, Lebanon). The evening starts with a hog roast and silent auction at 5pm and the live auction starts at 6pm.   • Light a candle for all children who have died. 3rd Annual Boone County Worldwide Candle Lighting in honor of National Children's Memorial Day at the Lebanon Masonic Temple. Hosted by the Children's Memorial Fund. The ceremony will start at 6 pm with the lighting of candles and the memorial tree. Anyone wishing for their child's name to be read during the ceremony please submit the name/s to the Boone County Worldwide Candle Lighting 2005, c/o Cindi Myers at P.O.   • Second Annual Holiday Open House hosted by the Sugar Creek Historical Society at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 W Main St., Thorntown). Doors open at 6:30pm and music will begin soon thereafter. The gathering is free and open to the public. Come Tap your toes to Tat's Cats, finish your Christmas Shopping in the Shop @ the Museum, and share refreshments and stories. The Museum is decorated in fresh greens and the Shop is full of new gift items for the holidays. Of couse, the best part of the evening is the smooth jazz of Tat's Cats, the perenial favorite at the Museum. Carol Houghton will again demonstrate working with alpaca fiber. Items in the Shop include Unziker Brothers pottery, Mid-Indiana Alpaca products, Glorious Lotus stained glass, Weaver Brothers honey, art by several noted local artists, and wood carvings by Craig White. A small gift tree will be in place for any gifts to the Museum. The SCHS wish list includes paper products, stamps, skills, time, and expertise to assist with the day-to-day opertion of the Museum.   • Indiana Brass to Play Seventh Annual Christmas Concert at 7 pm at St. Francis Episcopal Church (1525 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN). The concert is free and open to the public. In its seventh season and a beloved staple of the St. Francis concert series since its inception, the Indiana Brass Quintet ushers in the Christmas spirit with a festive program of holiday favorites. The brass concert will feature arrangements of well-known Christmas carols and a carol sing-a-long. Members of the Indiana Brass play in several of the orchestras around the Indianapolis Metro area, including Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and the Carmel Orchestra. The quintet is comprised of two trumpets, trombone, horn, and tuba. Bring the entire family and enjoy the carols of Christmas plus a sing-a-long, brass-style! A reception will follow the concert. The concert is free and open to the public; however, free will donations will be taken. For more information about this event, please call A.
