  • Autism/Asperger’s Family Support Group - meets the third Wednesday of each month at 7pm at Centenary Methodist Church (910 Fordice Road, Lebanon). This meeting is open to family members, caregivers, and educators of children with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. For more information, please contact (765-483-8102).

  • Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans.   • Free Flu Vaccine at the Zionsville Family Medicine & Urgent Care from 1 pm to 5 pm while supplies last. The flu vaccine is free to any eligible adult. Canned good donations will be accepted and will go to the Boone County Food Bank. According to the Center for Disease Control, 5% to 20% of the population may be infected by the flu and more than 200,000 people are hospitalized from flu complications. October or November is the best time to get vaccinated, but vaccinations in December, January and February can still be very beneficial. Most influenza activity occurs in January or later. Before being vaccinated, you may wish to consult a physician, particularly if you have a chronic illness or take medicine regularly.  The flu vaccine will be given at Zionsville Family Medicine & Urgent Care (1650 W. Oak St., Suite 100, Zionsville, IN). If you have questions please call 317-873-8800.

  • Boone County Regional Spelling Bee, sponsored by The Lebanon Reporter, Zionsville Times Sentinel and Boone REMC, at 10 am at Hattie B. Stokes Elementary School (1005 Hendricks Drive, Lebanon). There will be 28 students competing for a chance to participate in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. Everyone welcome to watch the competition!

  • Valentine's Dinner hosted by the Trinity Lutheran Church Youth Ministeries from 6 - 8 pm at the The Shalom House (304 W. Green Street, Lebanon).   • Tenor Tim Grino will present "An Afternoon in the Theatre: a Voice Recital of Songs from the Stage and Film" at 4pm at St. Francis Episcopal Church (1525 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN). Music includes works by such notables as Sir Arthur Sullivan, Cole Porter, Frederick Lowe, Stephen Sondheim, Sir Elton John, Adam Guettel, and Stephen Flaherty. Mr. Grino has performed as soloist in numerous sacred work performances. He has sung in the Indianapolis Opera Chorus, and his operatic/light opera credits include: Martin in The Tenderland, Sam Kaplan in Street Scene, the Mayor in Albert Herring, and Liuz in The Gondoliers. He is soloist and section leader at St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church in Zionsville, IN. Mr. Grino is pursuing his passion for teaching and operates a large voice studio in Brownsburg, Indiana, with students ranging from high school to adult. He holds a B.M. degree in vocal performance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN, where he was a student of Sharon Searles, and a M.M. degree in voice from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, where he studied with Virginia Dupuy and was coached by Martha Gerhart.   • Guardianship and Legal Planning  with attorney Jerry Hammond at 7 pm at the Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Libary presented by the Parent Education and Advisory Council of Zionsville (PEACZ). Jerry, an attorney with Lewis Wagner, will speak about the reasons why a guardianship may be important for the special needs child and family. He will present an overview of guardianship law in Indiana and the role guardianships play for the special needs child, both before age 18 and after 18. He will also discuss special needs trusts, how these trusts interact with guardianships, and the importance of considering special needs trusts within the context of your estate plan.The seminar is free.   • Annual Chili Supper presented by Salem United Methodist Church from 4 to 7 pm on Kissell Road (800 E) just south of State Road 334, a couple miles west of downtown Zionsville. Salem United Methodist Church, the Friendly Country Church, invites one and all to join us for warm hospitality and fellowship. Bring friends and family, or just bring yourself and make new friends!   • The Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library in Zionsville will close early at 5 pm in order for staff to attend the Library's annual meeting. Outside drop boxes and online services are available at all times. The HMMPL will reopen for regular hours on Friday, February 23 at 9:30 am.

  • Randomness & Chance: Exploring Mixed Media Class taught by Kevin Friend, alter ego of Dr. Toast, in collaboration with the newly created Learning Center sponsored by UCLA, in Logansport, Indiana and the Sugar Creek Art Center from 10 am-12 pm. The class at the Sugar Creek Art Center (127 S. Pearl St., Thorntown) will lead participants to explore other facets of their personality and style through a series of enjoyable and entertaining activities.
