- Off-Main Street Players auditions for "Almost, Maine" from 7 to 9 pm at Zionsville Town Hall (1100 W. Oak St., Zionsville) ."Almost, Maine" is a quirky comedy about relationships and how we navigate them. There are 18 parts for actors of all ages, types, sizes, shapes and ilks. Actors should be comfortable with playing multiple roles using minimalist techniques in an ensemble setting. Patsy See is direction the production. Set in winter in northern Maine, the play tells nine different vignettes of residents falling in and out of love. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays, February 11, 12, 18 and 19, 2011 at the Zionsville Lions Club. Off-Main Street Players is a community theater in Zionsville.

For the New Year, it's a Mystery Book Club will be reading a new genre – true crime. Choose from "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson or "The Monster of Florence" by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi. Larson is the author of "Isaac's Storm" and Preston is a best-selling fiction author. Both are well told and all the more dramatic because they are true – proving the adage "fact is stranger than fiction." Please note the one time date change from the first Thursday to the second Thursday of January. The regular schedule will resume in February. - Purdue Varsity Glee Club and Purduettes Community Concert at 7 pm at Zionsville Performing Arts Center. Hosted by The Zionsville Community High School's Competition Show Choirs, Royalaires and Choralaires. The concert offers a rare opportunity for Purdue Musical Organizations fans to see both the Purdue Varsity Glee Club and the Purduettes perform together. Proceeds from the concert benefit the ZCHS show choirs. Five Royalaires and Choralaires alumni will be returning to the Zionsville High School stage for the community concert as Purdue Musical Organizations singers. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students K-12 and are available now by calling Jayne McElwain at 989-8142. Tickets may also be purchased at the Performing Arts Center box office the evening of the show on a first-come, first-served basis. Concertgoers can further support the choirs by dining on the day of the concert at one of six Zionsville restaurants participating in a "Dinner & A Song" promotion. Amore, Patrick's, Plum's, Oobatz, Serenity, and Noah Grant's—will donate a portion of patrons‚ tabs to the show choirs. - A "Smoke Free Air" Town Hall Meeting at 6:30pm in the Chapel at Zionsville United Methodist Church (9644 Whitestown Rd., Zionsville, IN). The Town of Zionsville will be celebrating the 5th Anniversary of passing a "Smoke Free Air" ordinance for their community. It's also the 10th Anniversary for the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation (ITPC) agency who helped Zionsville pass their ordinance. To honor the Zionsville community and ITPC, Tobacco Free Boone County has gathered a group of expert panelist to discuss "smoke free air" ordinances and to speak on the adverse effects of "second hand smoke". During the meeting, attendees will be able to pose questions to the panelist and to learn about the potential for a statewide smoke free air ordinance currently being introduced in the 2011 legislative session.
