- Mobil Technology Lab (MTL) will be at the Lebanon Mal-Mart from 10 am to 2 pm as part of the Operation Military Kids partnership between Boone County 4-H and the Indiana National Guard unit in Lebanon.The MTL can be used by the public to create electronic greetings and messages that can be sent to soldiers serving their country around the world. This MTL consists of laptop computer stations, a digital camera, printer, and electronic voice recording equipment. The MTL will be set up south of the entrance to Walmart near the patio. The public is encouraged to utilize this equipment free of charge. Questions should be directed to Tony Carrell, Extension Educator at 765-482-0750.

- 2006 Grand Prix sponsored by the Lebanon Kiwanis Club beginning at 12pm at the Lebanon High School parking lot. This annual go-kart race is sanctioned by the Southern Indiana Racing Association and raises money for local youth for programs that include back to school supplies, scholarships, and other events like the fishing derby. Admittance is free and open to the public.

- The Second Annual Art in the Park hosted by Sugar Creek Art Center from 9 am to 6 pm (rain or shine) in the Lions’ Depot Park, located on North Pearl and Main Streets, in Thorntown. This art show celebrates the rich artistic resources in the area. Over 20 artists and artisans will display a diverse array of local original items for sale. In addition to the traditional oils, watercolors, acrylics, and drawings, the day will showcase photography, woodcarving, jewelry, ceramics, and gourds. Enjoy live music from 1-3 pm and demonstrations throughout the day by wood carver C. L. White and silversmith Mike Scholz, who encourages visitors to bring their old silver and gold jewelry to learn how they can be recycled into new original pieces. Great food will be available beginning with the Lions' Club Biscuits and Gravy breakfast at 7 am and continuing until the pots are empty. Artists and volunteers of the Sugar Creek Art Center will demonstrate their culinary talents with a bake sale for the benefit of the Center and Chicago Joe's will be serving up their great Chicago-style cuisine of Vienna Beef Chicago Hot Dogs and Italian Beef, along with other tasty items. The Lions' Club will also offer their famous barbecued chicken for lunch.
- Annual Ice Cream Social from 4 to 7 pm at Salem United Methodist Church of Zionsville (on Kissel Road just south of State Road 334, a couple miles west of downtown Zionsville). Delicious ice cream, sandwiches, salads, homemade pies, cakes, and other treats! Plus LIVE entertainment! Come one and all to "The Friendly Country Church" and enjoy this evening of hospitality and fellowship. Bring your friends and family, or just bring yourself and make new friends! Children of all ages are especially encouraged to join in the fun. A free-will offering will be taken, with 100% of the donation given to the Salem Church College Scholarship Fund.

- Boone County 4-H Fair at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon.
- Boone County 4-H Fair Talent Contest - this contest is open to any Boone County resident. Age groups are as follows: 3-7, 8-12, 13-17, and adults 18 and over. No dance or stage bands, baton twirling or trampoline acts are allowed in this contest. Individuals who have signed contracts for pay are ineligible to compete. Awards will be provided to the top three performers of each age group. Talent contest winners may qualify to participate in the Indiana State Fair contest. Pre-entries are required to participate in this talent contest. A maximum of only 30 entries will be accepted. Entry forms are available from the Extension Office located at the 4-H Fairgrounds. There is no entry fee. Entry forms must be returned to the Extension Office by Wednesday, July 19. No entries will be accepted after this time. - Boone County 4-H Fair at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon.
- PEACZ meeting at 7 pm at Hussey-Mayfield Memorial Public Library (250 North Fifth Street). PEACZ (Parent Education and Advisory Council of Zionsville) provides resources and information to persons who provide early intervention, education, transitional, medical, therapeutic and other related services to these children. They currently meet once a month. Although their children's needs may be different, their purpose as parents is the same in as the goal to obtain the best education and support for the children.
