- Heart Truth - Join the Boone County Family YMCA and the Witham Health Services Foundation for a free seminar about the leading cause of death among American women: heart disease. The presentation will be held in the Witham Cafe VIP Dining Room (located at 2605 N. Lebanon St) from 6:30 - 7:30 pm. One in three American women, regardless of race or ethnicity, will die of heart disease. Heart disease strikes at younger ages than commonly expected, and the risk rises in middle age. It can diminish health, well-being, and the ability to do even simple activities like climbing stairs. Two-thirds of women who have heart attacks never fully recover. Once a heart attack has occurred, the risk of having another one increases. This seminar will bring knowledge and understanding of this disease to you in a meaningful way. Hear stories from survivors and learn what you can do to protect yourself and your loved ones. Reservations are required and seating is limited. Please contact the Witham Foundation at 765-485-8112 to reserve your seat or to obtain additional information.
