  • Boone County Community Network Board of Directors - meets every other month on the second Wednesday of the month at noon at the Boone REMC Community Room.
  • Boone County Landmarks Preservation, Inc. - meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm at the Lebanon Public Library. "Working to save our historic structures."
  • Children's Mental Health Advocacy Project (CMHAP) Parent's Support Group - This is for parents of troubled children of all ages. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of each month (no meeting in June, July, and August) at 7:00 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church (in Lebanon) in one of the classrooms. Educational materials provided and an atmosphere of confidential concern. Many concerns included - such as mood disorders, behavior issues, substance abuse, etc. Please call or email (cmhap@cmhap.org) for more information - Patty Gates (group facilitator - 765-482-0510).
  • Community Bingo the 4th Tuesday of each month at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome. Refreshments and prizes for all. Games begin at 2:30 pm.
  • Community Euchre Club every Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome.
  • Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans.   • Parent Support Group (sponsored by the Boone County Step Ahead Council) meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm at the Centenary United Methodist Church (910 Fordice Rd, Lebanon).   • Bunnell Cemetery (1175 n Co Rd 200W, Frankfort, Indiana) will hold a historical walkthrough in celebration of 175 years from 1-4 pm. Actors in historical dress will tell the life and times of many historical Frankfort characters. Free refreshments will be served following the tour.   • Zionsville Fall Festival at Lions Park in Zionsville. Carnival opens Friday evening at 6pm (all day Saturday from 10am-12pm and Sunday ride all the rides you wish for one price). Free concert in the park with the Wright Brothers Band on Sunday at 2pm (look for the yellow and white tent marked "Entertainment"). Also on Sunday: the 3rd American Dream Car Show from 11am to 2pm. Lots of fun, food, and free entertainment through out the entire weekend.
  • PLAZA SUITE - a comedy by Neil Simon presented by the Off-Main Street Players of Zionsville at the Zionsville Town Hall. Performances are at 7:30 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 pm on Sunday. Tickets are $8 per performance and can be purchased at the Zionsville Chamber of Commerce or call 317-873-3504 for reservations.

  • Thorntown Church Association “All You Can Eat” Chili Dinner Benefit starting at 11:45 am at the Thorntown Christian Church (125 W Main St., Thorntown). Proceeds to be used to benefit the needs of the local community. The menu will consist of chili (with all the fixings--cheese, crackers, onions, etc), peanut butter sandwiches, hot dogs, tea and lemonade. Tickets are $6.50 for adults, children 5-13 are $3.25 and those 4 and under are free. Tickets are available from any of the area churches or Cynthia's Beauty Salon in Thorntown.  A dessert bar will be also available for a free will donation. Mark your calendars and plan to attend.

  • The Central Indiana Kennel Club Dog Show from 9am - 4pm at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
  • Back To The Fifties Festival on the Courthouse Square in Lebanon. On Friday from 6-10pm dance with music of Sundown Band and enjoy food provided by philanthropic organizations. On Saturday from 9-4:30pm join us for food, entertainment, craft booths, art show, children's activities, classic car show and much more. Free shuttle service from Memorial Park to the Courthouse Square.

  • The Central Indiana Kennel Club Dog Show from 9am - 4pm at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
  • Lebanon Elk's Soccer Shoot takes place from 9am to 12:30pm at the Lebanon Middle School soccer field. There are four divisions for boys and girls: ages 7 & under, ages 8 & 9, ages 10 & 11, ages 12 & 13 (ages as of August 1). Registration takes place on site. Trophies will be awarded and winners will advance to the District Competition.

  • Concert by Dove Award Nominee Andrew Peterson at 7 pm at New Hope Christian Church. Noted as one of today's most prolific song writers, Andrew will be showcasing his latest CD project, "The Far Country." All proceeds from this evening will support the local Indianapolis ministry, "Save the Youth." New Hope Christian Church is located just 1 mile NE of the I-65 & SR #334 interchange. Ticket prices are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Tickets are available at Books 'n Blessings in Zionsville or by calling New Hope at 317-769-3647.   • The Central Indiana Kennel Club Dog Show from 9am - 4pm at the Boone County Fairgrounds.
  • Ensemble Lipzodes performs "Music of Ministriles from Spain and Latin America", an hour of music from the 1500-1600's at St. Francis Episcopal Church (1525 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN). The concert is free and open to the public. Free will offerings are always welcome. A reception follows the concert.

  • The Festival of the Turning Leaves in Thorntown.
  • Munce Fine Art Fair from 9am - 5pm at Second and Hawthorne Streets in Zionsville, Indiana, sponsored by the SullivanMunce Cultural Center. The fair will highlight works that reveal an expertise and a strong commitment to the creation of fine art. It provides art lovers with an exclusive opportunity to view and purchase works that are rarely exhibited outside gallery walls. This one day free fair offers something for the entire family-including entertainment, gourmet snacks and a children's art area.
  • Dedication Ceremony and Placement of a Time Capsule at 10 am at the Lebanon Public Library (104 E. Washington Street, Lebanon). Everyone welcome! Refreshments available after the ceremony. (Thanks to Friends of the Library, Kramer Corporation, Terstep and OMS for breakfast snacks.)

  • Nationally known author, comedian, singer and speaker Anita Renfroe in concert at New Hope Christian Church at 7 pm sponsored by Books n' Blessing and New Hope Christian Church. Her books include 'The Purse-Driven Life' and the soon to be released, 'A Purse-Driven Christmas' which demonstrate her belief that "you need to cast aside life's frustrating little things in favor of smiles...laughter allows extraordinary truth to be communicated in unexpected ways."   • Crossroads Bible College's Second Annual "Scholarship Golf Outing" at Hickory Stick Golf Club in Greenwood (4422 Hickory Stick Thompson Blvd). The scramble, featuring teams of 4 players will begin with a shotgun tee-off at 12 noon. The charity golf outing is $80 per person and includes green fees for 18 holes of golf, a cart, snacks and beverages on the course, prizes and dinner immediately following. All proceeds will benefit CBC scholarships to help deserving students pursue their educational goals, while also preparing them for continued success after graduation.
