Casual Cooking with Chef Paul Thomas - Presented by Salem United Methodist Church, Zionsville, Indiana

Thursdays, February 16 and 23, March 2 and 9, 2006

Fun, relaxing, informative, and often filling! You are invited to an outstanding cooking class instructed by professional Chef Paul Thomas and presented by the Salem United Methodist Church (6701 South 800 East in Zionsville).

Paul is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, and involved with the American Culinary Federation in Indianapolis. He has been a chef for the Indy 500 track and many major hotels in Indianapolis. He has owned a bakery and catering business, and is currently a chef at the Indianapolis Propylaeum downtown. This man knows how to cook, teach, and have FUN!

In this class he will teach tools, terms, equipment, and knife skills. You'll learn how to make easy and delicious appetizers, finger foods, quiches, soups, salads, side dishes, and main course meals. Remember mom's crock pot? You'll learn best ways to use it. Learn to make easy and delicious meals for a family of one or ten. Have you ever wondered where a professional chef shops for groceries locally? Ask questions! You'll get personal and professional attention.

The next 4 week session of Casual Cooking is forming now. It is open to all members of the community and will be held at the beautiful, historic, Salem United Methodist Church on Kissel Road. Classes will be 4 consecutive Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 pm.

The dates will be: February 16, February 23, March 2, and March 9, 2006

Your $40 per person admission fee for the entire 4-class session includes hands-on personal instruction, delicious snacks and samples, and often leftovers to bring home. (Bring your Tupperware!!)

On-site supervised childcare for all ages will be provided at no extra charge in our church's nursery!
