- Boone County Landmarks Preservation, Inc. - meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7 pm at the Lebanon Public Library. "Working to save our historic structures."
- Community Bingo the 4th Tuesday of each month at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome. Refreshments and prizes for all. Games begin at 2:30 pm.
- Community Euchre Club every Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Hickory Creek at Lebanon. The public is welcome.
- Community Farmers' Market every Saturday Morning (indoors during the winter) at the Thorntown Heritage Museum (124 West Main Street, Thorntown) from 8:30-Noon. Open All Year - free admission. Featuring seasonal produce, baked goods, free-range meats, poultry, and fiber from farms in the area, and traditional arts and crafts of local artisans. - Public Meeting for Regional Pedestrian Plan presented by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) from 5- 7pm in the Zionsville Town Hall Community Room (1100 West Oak Street, Zionsville). The MPO is undertaking an initiative to develop an Indianapolis Regional Pedestrian Plan. This planning effort will recommend a pedestrian system to create a network throughout Boone County and establish important pedestrian connections to neighboring counties within the MPO's planning area. As part of this planning process, the MPO invites you to voice your thoughts, opinions, and ideas about pedestrian activity and walkability in your community. We look forward to your input on the development of the plan recommendations and are excited about the benefits it will bring for alternative transportation in the region. - Bluebird Basics presented by the Boone County Bluebird Society at the Zion Nature Center (690 Beech Street, Zionsville) at 2:00 pm. This slideshow and discussion will cover basics on how and where to put out bluebird nesting boxes, how to monitor them, and why bluebirds need our help.
- Chili Supper at Salem United Methodist Church (6701 South 800 East in Zionsville). Serving and entertainment will begin at 4pm and continue until 8pm. EVERYONE is warmly invited! One stop shopping for tummy-warming chili and heart-warming music! Live entertainment by Diamond Hill Station, a gospel and bluegrass band you may remember from our Ice Cream Social. - Zionsville Relay For Life Kick-off/ First Team Captain Meeting at 6 pm at Zionsville United Methodist Church (west entrance). This is a great opportunity to learn a little more about Relay For Life of Zionsville and get team information.
- The next meeting of the “Old House Forum” at 7PM at the Cragun House. Guest speaker will be Linda Johnson who will offer a program on “How to Discover the History of Your House”. The Old House Forum was created to promote preservation and provide a forum for the old house homeowners in the area. Attendance is available to Boone County Historical Society members only. Memberships will be taken at the door. Membership fee is $10 per year. Future meetings will include tours of other historic homes and buildings as well as guest speakers on a variety of restoration topics. - Raggedy Ann Tea Party at the Cragun House from 2-4pm sponsored by the Boone County Historical Society. All ages are invited to enjoy an afternoon of tea, appetizers, and activities including the history of Raggedy Ann and photo opportunities with Eckart Photography. - Crawford Manor Memorial Service at 1 pm at Crawford Manor (5340 W. 96th Street in Zionsville). The Memorial Service will be held to remember the residents lost over the past two years. Friends and family from the community are welcome to attend. A short reception will follow the service. Crawford Manor is located on the campus of the Hoosier Village Retirement Center and provides subsidized housing for extremely low-income senior citizens.
